Midlands MUG Show 2011 report
The Midlands Midsummer MUG show 2011 took place on Saturday 9th July, 2011, and was perhaps one of the quietest RISC OS shows I’ve attended in as long as I can remember, if not the quietest. As suggested previously, the date and venue for the 2011 Midlands Midsummer MUG Show has now been confirmed as 9th July 2011, at the same venue as last year – St John’s Church Hall, 205 Warwick Road, Kenilworth. In a recent discussion on comp.sys.acorn.misc news of another RISC OS show in 2011 emerged. The day before the recent London Show, Midlands User Group member, Doug Webb, confirmed that there will be another Midlands Show, again in Kennilworth, with two likely dates being considered – the 2nd and 9th July. Later the same day, another MUG member, Stuart Winsor commented that the 9th looks most likely. Comments last week on the Archive-online mailing list indicated that the Cedar Court Hotel, Calder Grove had been booked provisionally for 16th April, 2011, but an email received today from Rick Sterry, WROCC‘s assistant show organiser, confirms that the show is going ahead on that date.
