DeleGate 1.00 launches at London Show

Announcement from Andrew Rawnsley, 21st October, 2014. We are pleased to announce that version 1.00 of DeleGate will launch at the London Show this weekend.DeleGate, which provides system protection against accidental deletion of files and folders, has been under development since early this year. We are pleased to be able to launch it “officially” at the London Show.

David Bradforth punts new ‘TechGuides’ magazine

LET TechGuides = (printed OR digital) magazine + (email OR (email + telephone + skype) OR on-site) support1 Following his recent campaign to raise funds to publish a book about the history of Acorn Computers, David Bradforth has again turned to crowd funding website Indiegogo to raise funds for another project. This time, the goal is to launch a new magazine and support scheme, called TechGuides.

It’s here at last: the London Show report 2013

Fanfares, please! The latest event in the RISC OS Calendar – the RISC OS London Show, 2013 – took place just over three weeks ago in its usual venue, the St Giles Hotel, Feltham. Organised by the RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL), the show seemed from my point of view to be as busy and well attended as usual, though I understand the overall number of visitors was down on previous years by a small margin. Having said that, I spoke to a few people who I don’t remember…

Snippets – 7th July 2013

Because breaking catching up is never easy… After falling behind with RISCOSitory updates late last year, I’ve been getting to the stage where I think I’ve almost caught back up, and then things get a little hectic and I fall behind again. I’ve therefore decided to resurrect the ‘snippets’ format to round up a few smaller news items in one go. This doesn’t bring me right up to date, and with the Midlands show almost upon us, I’m likely to fall further behind again, so there will probably be more…
