PiPlus Super Pack 2 released for members

Announcement from R-Comp’s Andrew Rawnsley, 26th September, 2013

We are pleased to announce that “Super Pack 2” (aka SP2) has been released to members of our PiPlus support scheme. It is now available for download from our private PiPlus members’ area1.

SP2 provides a “drop on” upgrade to bring PiPlus members up to date with the latest PiPlus disc image. Much like we do for ARMini, ARMiniX and our other Support Scheme members, this upgrade allows PiPlus members to get up to date with one simple drag. There are over 30Mb of enhancements in this release, which includes updates to the !Boot sequence as well as a number of the bundled applications and facilities.

The new update paves the way for future OS upgrades, and ensures that PiPlus members have the best, most robust experience that we can offer them. This easy, smooth transition from version to version is a highlight of our PiPlus scheme, coupled with easy “one click” upgrades to new OS versions.

PiPlus members receive our high speed 16Gb SD card, which ensures much faster email operation, databasing, photo/image processing, PDF creation and more. The speed really helps prevent your Pi getting bogged down. The easy OS upgrades and Super Packs ensure that members can keep up to date regularly.

Members are also encouraged to join our support mailing list to ensure they keep up to date with what’s going on, and become part of the blossoming RISC OS resurgence 🙂 And of course, don’t forget to take advantage of our members’ discounts on any software/hardware purchases you’d like to make through us.

Best wishes,

Andrew
