Announcement from Nick Roberts, 1st October, 2013 Version 2.16 of BookMaker is available for download.The integration of BookMaker with certain browsers is not perfect, and under certain conditions the browser can overwrite any changes to the saved hotlist made by BookMaker. MTP updated

Announcement from Dave Higton, 14th September, 2013 I’ve updated MTP on my web site to version 0.21. This adds the ability to drag items directly from MTP’s viewer window to a RISC OS directory. MTP is a Media Transfer Protocol and Picture Transfer Protocol host application for RISC OS, allowing you to explore all the directories and files on an MTP or PTP device, and transfer files both from and to the device. MTP and PTP devices typically are mobile phones, cameras and media players.

The Wakefield Back Catalogue CD

Announcement from WROCC’s Chris Hughes, 25th August, 2013 To celebrate 30 years of the club, Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club released the Third Edition of the Wakefield Back Catalogue CD at this year’s Wakefield Show. It now contains around 360 back issues of the newsletter, including more than 100 from the 1980s and 1990s which had once been considered lost. Indeed, we believe that there are now just three issues left unaccounted for from the Club’s 30 year history.

A selection of announcements from Chris Hall during 2013 Cat version 0.18, announced 4th July, 2013 A disc cataloguing utility, Cat version 0.18, is now available from !Store and via PackMan. This presents a disc catalogue in a window, showing a tree structure of files and directories. The contents can be saved in several forms and the graphical layout can be adjusted to suit. Disc contents can be compared and changed files (by datestamp and/or CRC) identified.
