You heard it here first eventually! With a ridiculously busy period now over (mostly – and until/unless things get silly again), it’s time to round up what’s happened in the intervening period in the world of RISC OS.

RISC OS Awards 2012/13 results

Is that a drum roll I hear? Voting closed a few days ago in the first annual awards poll to be run by RISCOSitory on the RISC OS Awards website, and the votes have now been calculated – on RISC OS, of course! In most cases, the winner achieved notably more votes than any others – and in some cases that amounted to more than half the votes. Going the other way, when it was close it couldn’t have been closer; in one case there was just one vote between…

PlingStore holiday sales – final weekend

An announcement from R-Comp’s Andrew Rawnsley, 4th January, 2014 This weekend brings the two-week-long !Store Christmas sales to a close. The feature items this weekend are Fireworkz Pro and HTMLEdit Studio, both on offer for half price. Basalt (“BASic ALTernative keywords”) is a module that extends BASIC by providing “alternative keywords by extending the use of actual keywords and adding new keywords, both of which are used completely as native BASIC keywords.” The document is available online, at the link given above, and it is also included in…

RISC OS London Show 2011 – Preview

The RISC OS London Show 2011 is finally upon us. In the morning, I will be making my way down to the hall at the St Giles Hotel, Feltham, where I’ve already set up my stand, ready for when the doors are open to the public at 11am. The line up for this year’s show includes plenty of regular faces as well as a few less regular (and perhaps first time) exhibitors, and some special treats – so let’s get straight down to business and look at who and what…

Snippets – 31st December, 2022

A collection of news for 2022 not already covered on RISCOSitory 2022 is about to draw to a close, so it’s time to cast one last eye over the various forums etc., to look for things that haven’t found their way onto these pages already.
