Pot-pourri in Wakefield and beyond – 6th April

The Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) will be holding a hybrid meeting – that is to say one that is taking place both at their regular venue and online – on Wednesday, 6th April, and there is no single topic. Chris Gransden talks porting to the Midlands User Group

Chris Gransden runs the RISC OS Ports website, which is home to a quite diverse selection of software that he has ported to the platform, or which he has updated – in some cases, originally ported by others, and in others software that originated on RISC OS. The Midlands User Group (MUG) will be welcoming Chris through their virtual doors as the guest speaker for their next meeting, at which he will be talking about the portfolio of ports on his website.

Wakefield Show makes a temporary move to Bradford

Welcome to the Wradfold1 Show! The Wakefield Show has hit a few problems (outlined below) since the milestone 25th event was first scheduled for April 2020, and technically took place in 2021 as an online event – although the next time exhibitors gather in the North to show off their wares, it will still be the 25th physical show organised by the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC).
