Prophet 4.13 now available

An update is now available from Elesar Ltd for accounts software Prophet.

The new release is a mere ‘point’ release, so it doesn’t bring any significant new features, and instead sees a few bugs fixed. These include a correction to the width of the US Letter paper size; better handling of elements that find themselves off the page in the layout windows when changing paper sizes; the unsaved status is now only shown in the window featuring the save button – i.e. the top level Prophet file; VAT refunds due from HM Revenue and Customs are now shown more clearly, i.e. as negative values, and when the ‘reconcile lock’ is on, certain fields in the ledger can no longer be edited to add an ‘R’ or ‘r’.

In addition AcornSSL, the module that handles the security when connecting to the HM Revenue and Customs website if using the Making Tax Digital facilities, has now been updated to the latest version from RISC OS Open, and the manual has been revised in response to customer feedback.

Version 4.13 of the package is a free update to anyone who has bought version 3.93 or later from the company – simply run the original installer again to update it. New copies are available for £79 plus VAT (£94.80 inclusive) – but users of version 3.xx, which would have come from its original developers Apricote Studios, can get a 25% discount. The Making Tax Digital facilities, if required, are an additional £45.00 plus VAT (£54.00 inclusive).
