Using Ovation Pro in the professional world – Wakefield, 2nd October

Gavin Crawford will be talking at the next Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) meeting on his use of Ovation Pro – one of RISC OS’ desktop publishing packages, and the only one that runs natively on 32-bit platforms. Gavin has used the software to produce professionally printed hard back books, and has put RISC OS to use in a research project into historic textiles – a project that was ten years in the making.

The Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) will be holding their next meeting on Wednesday, 7th August, at 7:45pm, and this month will see something of a mixed bag, with two people lined up to talk to the group. The next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club takes place tomorrow evening, and will feature a mix of topics including Ian Stanley talking about using an IDE hard drive on a Raspberry Pi, running Mike Cook’s oscilloscope on under RISC OS, and using the RDSP module from AMCOG Games to produce sounds on the Pi. The next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club will cover a number of different topics. To kick things off, Terry Marsh will be demonstrating Pi3D, using Python.
