Without going into a fully detailed history,RISC OS Developments Ltd was formed only a few short years ago with the original (and initially hush-hush) aim of funding the development of a web browser. The company has achieved a number of other things since, the most notable of which is probably taking over ownership of RISC OS itself and making it fully open source – but all the same, that original purpose was the web browser.

Wakefield show now open for registration

Offering a range of topics, rather than just one speaker talking on one topic, the next Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) meeting has been designated a Potpourri evening, with spots from Cliff Hatch, Doug Webb (infiltrating the Club from the Midlands), and Ruth Gunstone.

If that’s where you choose to watch it – which may depend on the device you use (and the weather) The next Wakefield Acorn & RISC OS Computer Show will take place on Saturday, 24th April, 2021 – almost exactly one month from today – and like last year’s London Show, it will take place online using the Zoom video conferencing system, and simultaneously streamed on the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) YouTube channel.
