The RISC OS filer, a key part of the RISC OS desktop environment is clean and simple, and does its job superbly – even though we use it whenever we use the RISC OS computer, we probably don’t give it that much thought; it’s just there, showing us our files, and providing a target to drop new ones into.

The Kickstarter fundraising page set up by RISC OS Cloverleaf came to a close today, with the funds falling short of their target – the goal was to raise €50,000 (£44,447 at time of writing), but the amount pledged was just €26,870 (£23,886), which is €23,130 (£20,561) short.

Most of us will agree that 2020 has so far been quite a memorable year – but unfortunately not for a good reason; a global pandemic has resulted in much less social interactivity, with the obvious effect on the RISC OS community that shows and regular user group meetings have either had to be put on an extended hiatus, or – in the case of some user groups – handled in a different way.
