TrainTimes 2.01 released

An update has been released by Kevin Wells for his application that helps RISC OS users look-up railway timetables and other related information. Called TrainTimes, the software acts as a go-between by using Wget to relay the users’ selections to a remote provider, Real Time Trains and National Rail depending on what is being looked up, and to receive the results of that. Those results are then processed and displayed by the application itself.

RISC OS games featured in Fusion magazine

Last October, RISC OS users were introduced to Andrew Oyston by way of that month’s Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) meeting. Andrew is a retro hardware and games enthusiast who has covered RISC OS (and other topics) in Pixel Addict magazine1 – and he has been in touch to highlight another article he has written in another publication.

Bristol RISC OS Users meeting – 12th July

The next meeting of Bristol RISC OS Users (BRU) is set for Wednesday, 12th July. The group meets on an informal basis for a chat over a drink and bite to eat, so there is usually no set topic or formal speaker; it’s usually a case of discussing the latest RISC OS news and developments, and often diverging into the wider world. However, sometimes members might bring along their own latest projects – or problems – for the group to look at.
