Hot off the press at Wakefield! Christopher Dewhurst, who took over publishing on-off-on-off-under-new-management PDF magazine Drag ‘n Drop from its original editor and publisher, Paul Stewart (hence the ‘under-new-management’ bit), is set to release a new book at the 2015 Wakefield Show on 25th April under the ‘Drag N Drop Publications’ moniker.

RISCBook range gets an Essential new member
R-Comp Interactive have been producing ARM-based computers for a few years now, starting with the ARMini, then the ARMiniX, and now the newly introduced ARMSX ARMX6 – but the company has been selling computers based around x86-compatible processors, running VirtualRiscPC on Windows, for far longer, in the form of RISCubes, SpaceCubes and RISCBooks. The latter of those ranges, the RISCBooks, now has a new member – RISCBook Essential.

A Fistful of Dollars allows you to run The Gauntlet with an early version! Although the new computer from CJE Micro’s is not yet complete, there are apparently (and unsurprisingly) people eager to get their hands on what is expected to be the fastest ever RISC OS computer to date – so Chris Evans says that they will be launching an Early Adopter Scheme at the Wakefield Show on Saturday, 25th April, 2015.

Map app gap snap! Sine Nomine Software, who should be on stand 18 in the Cypress Suite of Saturday’s Wakefield Show according to the provisional floorplan, will be bringing a new version of RiscOSM along to the event. The software, which uses data sourced and converted from OpenStreetMap, brings comprehensive mapping facilities to RISC OS, and was first launched at last year’s show.
