News nybble: Elesar offers click and collect for London Show (updated)

Elesar Ltd is once again using the services of RISC OS Open Logistics, by offering a click and collect scheme for goods purchased in time for this year’s London Show, which takes place on Saturday. To take advantage of this scheme, which can represent quite a saving on heavier items, simply select ‘Pick up at London Show’ when choosing your shipping method at the check out. The cut-off point in the past has been 10:00am on the day before the Southwest Show, and 11:00am on the day before the Wakefield…

Southwest show news summary

It’s the final countdown round up, dododoo-doooo, dodo-do-do-doooo… As anyone who is anyone should know, the 2024 RISC OS Southwest Show is taking place in just a few days time. Prophet version 4.14 now available

Version 4.14 is free to existing users of 3.93 or later – the initial and subsequent releases from Elesar, who took on maintenance and sales of the package from its original developer, Quinten Pain of Apricote Studios (subsequently Accountz). The new version includes a mixture of fixes and new features (that have come from user suggestions).

It took place on 22nd April at the Cedar Court Hotel in – well, yes – Bradford.

Christmas to come early for RISC OS users

The RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) announced barely a week ago that, sadly, they are not going to be able to proceed with this year’s London Show; the usual venue isn’t available, and they have been unable to find an alternative. This wasn’t entirely surprising – they were also unable to proceed last year, and they aren’t the only group to have faced struggles organising their annual event recently; the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) also had problems with their annual event, but luckily did manage to…
