Not to be confused with Black Thursday1. In the Untidy States of Overpuddle2, the fourth Thursday in November is Thanksgiving, a public holiday that dates back a few hundred years. Not dating back quite so far, and not an actual holiday, the day after this has become known as Black Friday, which is considered to be the first day of the Christmas shopping season, and most large retailers have promotional sales to celebrate it.

Elesar Ltd is once again using the services of RISC OS Open Logistics, by offering a click and collect scheme for goods purchased in time for this year’s London Show, which takes place on Saturday. Elesar reaches for the sky
Grabs clouds, makes them available to RISC OS users. Elesar Ltd, the company behind the Titanium motherboard, has today introduced a new network filing system, called CloudFS, which is designed to enable RISC OS computers to access to cloud-based storage in an easy, RISC OS friendly way.

Prophet 4.15 brings mobility
Or, at least, the ability to keep in touch with someone on the move! A new version of Prophet has been released by Elesar. The software – originally published by Quinten Pain’s Apricote Studios, and now looked after by Rob Sprowson’s company – is an accounts and stock management package, designed to handle all the financial record keeping needed by a business, including the ability to submit VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
