News nybble: Nat Queen talks Cryptography at WROCC on 6th September
The next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club will take place on Wednesday, 6th September, with Dr Nat Queen of Birmingham University as the guest speaker. Originally delivered to the RISC OS User Group of London in June, the talk will cover modern cryptography, the difference between symmetric (conventional) cryptography and public-key cryptography. The Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club will next be meeting on Wednesday 5th July, and has a mixture of topics planned. Starting off the mix will be Derek Barron, who will be demonstrating his 3D Molecule program, amongst other things. Peter Richmond will then take a look at StudioSound – an audio sequencing package originally released by Oregan Developments, and since updated by Henrik Pedersen. Peter will be using various sound samples to show off the features of the package.
