AMCOG Flash Collection now available from Elesar

Flash! Aah-aah… I’ve played every one of them! At the recent Southwest Show, there was a new product available from AMCOG Games – a USB Flash drive containing the complete set of the company’s RISC OS games and related titles to date. For those people unable to get to the show, it is now possible to obtain the AMCOG 2018 Flash Collection online.

And some other game updates from AMCOG, too. A number of titles from AMCOG Games – specifically, those that run in 16 million colour screen modes – have been updated with improved compatibility with the latest ROM updates for ARMSX ARMX6 and Titanium machines. At the same time, the company has seen fit to add some new features to the products, as follows:

RISC OS Awards 2016 results

The RISC OS Awards poll for 2016 was brought to a close on 29th February. As before, the results were processed and counted on a RISC OS computer (using a home-brewed program to turn the votes into a file for each category, ready to be loaded into Fireworkz), and initially announced on the @RISCOSitory Twitter feed. Those results are now online on the RISC OS Awards website and the various winners have been notified – where possible – by email.

Mop Tops gains new levels and sounds in version 1.20

AMCOG games has released a new version of Mop Tops, the company’s most recent game, with more levels, more music tracks, new sound effects, and improved graphics. As such, each level is a puzzle that needs to be solved, and the player is given the building blocks…

RISC OS Southwest: One week to go!

That’s just seven days – so few you can count ’em on the fingers of, er, one and a bit hands! The hotel is, of course, the Webbington,…

The objective is to guide as many Mop Tops as you can to the exit before the time runs out, and you can place tools and objects on the screen for the Mop Tops to pick up and use, or interact with…

London Show 2016 looms

Feltham’s calling to the faraway towns, come along and see the best OS around! It is now just one week until I’ll be heading home from Feltham (and will have already long since reached home, looking at the time) – which means it’s just five days until I’ll be heading in the direction of Feltham. The day between those two journeys, of course, is when I’ll be in Feltham, exhibiting at this year’s London Show, organised by the RISC OS User Group of London – and here’s why you, the…
