Wakefield Acorn and RISC OS Show, 26th April, 2014
Announcement from Steve Fryatt, 19th March, 2014. This year’s Wakefield Acorn and RISC OS Computer Show will be taking place on Saturday, 26th April, 2014, at its familiar home of the Cedar Court Hotel near Wakefield. Organised by the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club, the north’s premier RISC OS event is now in its nineteenth year.

Announcement from WROCC’s Chris Hughes, 25th August, 2013 To celebrate 30 years of the club, Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club released the Third Edition of the Wakefield Back Catalogue CD at this year’s Wakefield Show. It now contains around 360 back issues of the newsletter, including more than 100 from the 1980s and 1990s which had once been considered lost. Indeed, we believe that there are now just three issues left unaccounted for from the Club’s 30 year history.

We are once again rapidly approaching the time when the attention of the RISC OS community falls fairly and squarely upon Wakefield, with “the North’s premier RISC OS show” taking place this coming Saturday, April 20th. The show is now in its 18th year, and once again takes place at The Cedar Court Hotel, Deby Dale Road, Calder Grove, Wakefield, WF4 3QZ – the show’s original venue, before it moved to locations such as Thornes Park Athletics Stadium.
