Three UK Show dates for your 2014 diaries

Don’t say you haven’t been given plenty of advance notice!

RISC OS South West Show

The date for the South West Show, usually the first show of the year, was initially published on this site in the 2013 Portsmouth Show report – but, in case you missed it (along with the fairly large advert1 for the show which, at the time of writing, is staring at you from the left hand side of this page), it’s set for Saturday, 1st March, 2014.

The show, which is organised by the dynamic duo of Richard Brown of Orpheus Internet and Andrew Rawnsley of R-Comp, will take place at its usual venue, the Webbington Hotel, Loxton, Somerset, BS26 2HU – a mere ten minutes drive from junction 22 of the M5 – and will be open to the public between 10:30am and 4:00pm.

Wakefield Acorn and RISC OS Computer Show

Sponsored by MW Software and organised by the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club – WROCC – this year’s Wakefield Show will take place on Saturday, 26th April, 2014, at the Cedar Court Hotel, Denby Dale Road, Calder Grove, Wakefield, WF4 3QZ – a stone’s throw from junction 39 of the M1.

The doors will be open to the public from 10:30am until 4:30pm, with an entry fee of £5 on the door. Admission is free for children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult.

RISC OS London Show

The RISC OS User Group of London – ROUGOL – have set the date for the next London Show as Saturday, 25th October, 2014, which will take place at the St Giles Hotel, Hounslow Road, Feltham, TW14 9AD – its usual location, easily reached by road or rail, or even by air (and a smidgeon of road or rail), with Heathrow Airport being fairly close.

Traditionally the last show of the year, a mere £5 (free for under-16s) will grant you entry to the show between 11:00am and 5:00pm.
