News nybble: Kquiz has been updated – true or false?

If you said ‘true’ you’d be right! Kevin Wells has released a new version of his Kquiz application, which makes use of Wget to draw a series of quiz questions from the Open Trivia Database. Those questions are then presented to the user in a RISC OS window, with the application keeping a count of how many are answered correctly. Kevin Wells has released a new version of Kquiz. The application – which needs wget to operate, because it draws its data from the Open Trivia Database website –  offers the sort of trivia questions you might encounter in quizzes. As such, it allows you to hone your knowledge in all sorts of areas of trivia and to get in some practice if you intend to enter any quizzes yourself. The next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club will take place at 7:45pm on Wednesday, 7th March, when attendees can enjoy an entertaining and educational computer-related quiz, devised by Peter Richmond. The remainder of the evening will then be given over to an informal discussion about the Club itself.
