Quiz night in Wakefield – 6th October

Marking their return to physical meetings – the first since the pandemic brought about a temporary end to such things – the next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) will be a computer-related quiz, hosted by Peter Richmond.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 6th October, starting at 7:45pm, and the place to be is:

The West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club,
Sandall Hall Close,
Off Walton Lane,
Wakefield,
WF2 6ER.

The Club hopes that as many members as possible will be able to attend, noting that it would be good to see friends and familiar faces in person again – and that depending on the numbers who do attend, and because of social distancing requirements, the format of the quiz may be slightly different this time.

Since the meeting is a physical one, the entry requirements of old come into play once again. That means entry is free to Club members, but non-members who wish to attend need to pay a £3.00 entry fee.

Membership costs just £15.00 per year, discounted by 50% in the first year – equivalent to two and a half entry fees, so if you’re near enough to make regular (or frequent at least) visits, it’s well worth joining for that reason alone. Another good reason is the Club’s newsletter, the WROCC, which is delivered to members electronically in PDF format, readable on all mainstream platforms. The Club also runs a mailing list on which members can discuss all matters RISC OS.
