Having been the guest speaker for the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) meeting that took place in November, Andrew Rawnsley will be joining the group again for their December meeting – but wearing a different hat!
Last month Andrew was talking on behalf of RISC OS Developments, but this time he’ll be representing R-Comp, with a talk covering the company’s latest computer/hardware developments and details of a significant update to a major application.
And with Christmas being just three weeks after the meeting, he will host a quiz where everyone who enters will receive a software application from a selection of Andrew’s choosing, with some notable items up for grabs.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 4th December with an official start time of 7:45pm, and as is now the norm for WROCC, it will be held online using the Zoom video conferencing system, with anyone welcome to join – membership of the group is not a requirement.
If you wish to join, you’ll need a computer or other device on which Zoom can be run, along with the meeting credentials to allow you to log in. These remain the same as other recent WROCC meetings, so you’ll have them if you’ve attended any, and are available on request if you haven’t.
Although the meeting is open to any RISC OS user, regardless of WROCC membership status, it’s well worth supporting the group by joining; the cost is just £7.50 each year, and you get the group’s self-titled monthly newsletter sent to your inbox as a PDF file, along with access to their online discussion forum.
