Formally announced last month, the organisers of the annual Wakefield Show have sent out an update about this year’s event with a little more information about what visitors can expect.

News bit: Descriptions and more examples on Graphics Programming site
Section 8 of Richard Ashbery’s Simple Graphics Programming in RISC OS BASIC has been updated to include descriptions of many of the graphics shapes users will encounter when using a pair of parametric equations, and some additional example images have been added towards the end.

Kevin Wells has updated StreetFix, his software that allows RISC OS users to report problems to local authorities, such as potholes, broken street lights, etc. Using Wget, the software interfaces with the FixMyStreet website to do this. It can also be used to look at existing reports, and version 1.02 of the software allows those reports to a GPX file – which can then be loaded into suitable mapping software to see where those reports are about.
