Informal Christmas meal at ROUGOL – 16th December

There might not be any room at the inn restaurant upstairs.

With December being a busy month in popular restaurants, the RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) tends not to arrange a formal speaker for its last meeting of the year. Instead, the group meets more informally, albeit still in line with the regular schedule. That meeting will therefore take place on Monday, 16th December, 2019, from around 7:45pm.

Members (and visitors) can meet up in the same venue, but possibly in the bar downstairs rather than the restaurant upstairs (although they will try to get a table in the restaurant), and participate in an informal chat about all things RISC OS – what has happened over the last year, what they hope to see over the next – while enjoying a drink and a bite to eat.

If you are in the area, the place to head for is:

The Blue-Eyed Maid (maybe, maybe not upstairs in the restaurant),
173 Borough High Street,
London,
SE1 1HR.

As with all of ROUGOL’s meetings, there is no entry fee; the only costs, should you choose to partake, are the price of a meal and any drinks. The Blue-Eyed Maid serves a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and has both English and Indian food on the menu.

It is easy to reach by public transport, being situated between Borough tube station (a two minute walk away) and London Bridge station (five minutes away by foot). Those two stations are in turn easily reached from other stations: London Bridge is a ten minute, two stop hop from Waterloo, and Borough is twenty minutes from Euston and Kings Cross/St Pancras (heading southbound on the Bank branch of the Northern Line).

If you need any further information, or any help finding the venue, ROUGOL can be contacted by telephone on 07970 211 629, by email, or as @ROUGOL on Twitter.
