The Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) want you to get your artistic juices flowing, and draw them a new logo, with a prize up for grabs for the one they choose and go on to use! April of this year – the same month in which the Wakefield Show takes place (in Bradford) – marks the club’s 40th anniversary, and they are celebrating in a number of ways. Not working network printer drivers now working!
If you use R-Comp‘s Network Printer Drivers, you may have encountered a problem if you’ve also been using recent beta versions of RISC OS 5.29, incorporating changes to FileSwitch. Those changes have brought about compatibility issues with support for HP JetDirect, a technology in use on many network capable printers – not just those from Hewlett-Packard. An update to the Network Printer Drivers software, released this week, addresses the issue – version 2.04 is now available from !Store.Read More
News nybble: PiTools and 4téTools 1.21 released
R-Comp‘s support packages for the 4té and Raspberry Pi 4 (on which it is based) have both been updated, with the latest versions – 1.21 – both available to download. In the case of PiTools, that’ll be via !Store, and in the case of 4téTools, from the users’ download site, detailed in the machine’s support documentation. The reason for the update is that an issue cropped up with some of the LockScreen options, which have now been resolved.Read More
