Tuesday, 12th May, 2015 – Tomorrow evening – is the date of the next meeting of the Southampton RISC OS Users Group. The meeting runs from around 7:00pm until 9:00pm at:
The Sports Centre
The area to aim for is the College Centre, which is an open area with tables and chairs, by the Sports Centre Reception desk.
There is a car park, accessed from Deacon Road, opposite Whites Road.
In his announcement, organiser Dave “Mr USB” Higton didn’t mentioned any particular topic or demonstration for the evening, but did add his customary suggestion that visitors can bring along any software and/or hardware they wish – there will be at least one small network of RISC OS computers, and internet access.
The next meeting date for the Midlands User Group is Saturday, 16th May, 2015, starting at 2:00pm, and takes place at:
The Methodist Church Hall
A small entrance fee is payable to cover costs, and there will be refreshments available.
Vince Hudd (er, that’s me, folks) will be the special guest for this meeting. I’ll be bringing along the latest prototype RiscPiC cases, showing where I’ve gone wrong this time, three Raspberry Pis – a Model B, a Model B+ and a version 2 Model B – and a laptop running WebChange and other software.
The meeting will also see the group finalising their plans for attending Recursion 2015, along with a selection of other names you might recognise from the RISC OS community. Recursion 2015 takes place on 4th July at:
King Edward IV School
