Chris Gransden talks porting to the Midlands User Group

Chris Gransden runs the RISC OS Ports website, which is home to a quite diverse selection of software that he has ported to the platform, or which he has updated – in some cases, originally ported by others, and in others software that originated on RISC OS.

The Midlands User Group (MUG) will be welcoming Chris through their virtual doors as the guest speaker for their next meeting, at which he will be talking about the portfolio of ports on his website.

The meeting will be held online using the Zoom video conferencing system, which means distance should be no object for anyone wishing to attend. The only requirement is a free afternoon – it will take place on Saturday, 2nd April and kick off at 2:00pm – and the access details. For those who have been on any other recent MUG Zoom meetings, the meeting code and password remain as before, but for anyone who hasn’t, simply contact MUG any time before the day in question.

Midlands Midsummer Show

The group is also organising the Midlands Midsummer MUG Show, which will take place on Saturday, 2nd July, also using Zoom. Running from 11:00am until 4:00pm, entry will be free of charge – so with travel and accommodation not an issue, there’s really no reason not to set that date in your diaries now!
