Andy Marks of RISCOSbits will be transported at high speed to the next Midlands User Group (MUG) meeting – or at least a digital representation will be, since the meeting will be held entirely online.
Andy will be showing off the latest developments from RISCOSbits, including one of the highlights of the recent Southwest Show, RISC OS FAST, a custom ROM image that, with the right hardware, could utilise the PCIe port on the Raspberry Pi Computer Module 4 IO board for SATA connectivity. He will also talk about the DeskDock, which allows a laptop such as the Pinebook Pro to be connected to an external screen, etc, making it more practical for use at home on the desktop, and more.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 1st April, at 2:00pm, and it will be held online, using the Zoom video conferencing system – so anyone who wishes to attend can do so from the comfort of their own home.
The Zoom software is available for computers running mainstream operating systems, as well as mobile phones and tablets – so provided you have something suitable, there’s no barrier to attendance. You will of course need the meeting credentials, which remain the same as other recent MUG meetings, but if you haven’t joined a meeting before and need them you can get them by contacting the group.
