News nybble: TrainTimes 1.05 arriving now

Kevin Wells has released another update to his TrainTimes application. The software, which uses Wget to interrogate the Transport API site, presents the user about trains due at a chosen station. Clicking on a button for any of those trains will reveal stations and times for that train’s route – and the new feature in version 1.05 is that it is now possible to click on any of those stations to view the times of trains due there.

Murnong 2.32 released

Keeping up with the Joneses YouTube Wget Murnong, Christopher Martin’s application for downloading YouTube videos, has been updated to version 2.32. The software is designed to parse web pages fed to it that have been saved from YouTube, Google’s video sharing website, so that the address of the embedded video can be established. Once it’s done that, it launches Wget to download the file so that it can be played with FFplay or converted with FFmpeg – both of which have been ported to RISC OS by Christopher.

Lcheck updated for Euro Millions

App to tell you when Euro millionaire. Lcheck, the lottery syndicate checking application from Kevin Wells, has been updated to version 1.08. The recent update to version 1.07 added the facility to for the software to use wget and a working internet connection to fetch the last eleven draws for the main Lottery, Thunderball and Plus 5 games.
