Anyone with an interest in coding on RISC OS – at any level – is invited to join an initial fireside chat, starting at 7:30pm on Saturday, 26th November. Organised by Andrew McCarthy in cooperation with Paolo Zaino and the RISC OS Community project, the idea dates back to last year when Andrew had the initial idea. The aim is to hold a series of meetings on the subject of Coding on RISC OS, and this one is intended to be the first.

TBX C++ library version 0.6 alpha available
Classy! Back at the end of November, Alan Buckley released a new version of TBX, his C++ library. The library is designed to help with the development of Toolbox based C++ applications for RISC OS, and comes with a user guide and reference documentation, and examples of its use are available as additional downloads, including a program to help generate simple C++ skeleton projects. Version 0.6 is an alpha release, for which Alan listed the following as the main features in his announcement:
