General discussion at ROUGOL – 16th May

It is time once again for the monthly meeting of the RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL), and this month there is no speaker lined up – which may or may not be connected with there being a show coming up rapidly, making everyone jolly busy getting ready. Instead, the meeting will be just a general chat and catch up.

The Wakefield Bradford Show on Saturday, 21st, will be certain to form part of the evening’s discussion, and if you have any particular projects you’d like to bring along and show off, feel free to do so – and to bring up any topics you’d like to chat about.

Taking place on Monday, 16th May, starting at 7:45pm, the meeting will be held as a hybrid one, with both a physical and online element.

For those planning to attend in person – something ROUGOL would like to encourage, because greater numbers attending the venue will help ensure the venue remains available and free (in addition to which, it’s just good to see people again) – the place to be is:

The Duke of Sussex pub,
(Upstairs in the Chichester Room),
23 Bayliss Road,
London,
SE1 7AY.

There should be one or more group members around from 6:30pm, and the pub serves a range of food and drink. There are good, clear instructions on how to get there on the ROUGOL website.

For those unable to make it there, the online aspect of the meeting will use Zoom, so all you need is a suitable device that can run the software (most mainstream platforms) and somewhere to sit for the duration.

The Zoom meeting will be open for people to join from 7:30pm, and your own kitchen probably serves a range of food and drink if you’re willing to put the effort in. You probably know the way to the kitchen – but as for the Zoom meeting, if you’ve joined any recent ROUGOL sessions the log-in details are the same, otherwise contact the group to receive them by email.
