Southampton meeting – 10th December

Tuesday, 10th December will be your opportunity to meet up with other RISC OS users in the Southampton area – and to see a Christmas tree controlled by a Raspberry Pi!

That evening, running from 7:00pm until 9:00pm, is when the Southampton RISC OS User Group (SROUG) will next meet. Those wishing to come along can bring along any software or hardware they’d like to show off to the group, or seek help with, etc., and there will be at least one small network of RISC OS computers, hopefully with internet access.

And, of course, that tree – presumably, since he is so fond of using BBC BASIC to interface the Pi with things that flash, this is one of Andrew Conroy’s little projects.

Admission to the meeting is free of charge, so if you’re local (or happen to be in the area) you would like to attend, it takes place in the Sports Centre of Itchen Collge – head for the College Centre, an open area with tables and chairs next to the Sports Centre Reception desk.

The college car park for is accessed from Deacon Road opposite Whites Road – although the full postal address of the college is:

Itchen Sixth Form College,
Middle Road,
Bitterne,
Southampton,
SO19 7TB.

(Deacon Road and Middle Road meet just past the college.)
