Meetings in Southampton and Sale, on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
Southampton RISC OS Users Group
Dave Higton has confirmed that the regularly scheduled meeting for SROUG will take place at the regularly scheduled time in the regularly scheduled location. That regularly scheduled time is the second Tuesday of each month, making it 14th June this month, running from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. That regularly scheduled location is:
Deacon Road,
Southampton.
You’ll find the group in the College Centre, an open area with desks and chairs that can be found by the Sports Centre Reception desk. There is a car park if you need it, the entrance to which can be found on Deacon Road, opposite Whites Road.
As per usual, Dave says that if you have any hardware or software you want to demonstrate to the other attendees, you are welcome to bring it along. There will be a network of RISC OS computers set up, with an internet connection.
RISC OS Northwest Users group
Steve Potts, meanwhile, has confirmed that this month’s regularly scheduled RONWUG meeting will also be taking place at the regularly scheduled time in the regularly scheduled location. This time, the meeting is regularly scheduled for a 7:30pm kick off on the third Wednesday of each month – which this month means 15th June. And where is it regularly scheduled to take place? Why, here:
Finnybank Road,
Sale,
Cheshire,
M33 6LR.
There is plenty of free parking right outside the venue, which is just a few hundred yards from juntion 7 of the M60. For those with a preference for public transport, it’s on the bus route from Manchester city centre, and only a short walk from the Dane Road Metro Station.
The club does have a bar, but there’s no guarantee it will be open. However, there should be tea and coffee available – and there is an off licence and a Chinese takeaway a few minutes walk away.
You’ll find members on site from around 7:20pm, and probably until around 10:00pm, but Steve says you can arrive and leave whenever you like. Members’ hardware and software problems are frequently discussed at meetings, so if you would like to bring yours to the attention of the group feel free to do so – but Steve says to ring him on 0845 474 7269 to check that access is available to any equipment you may need.
