ROUGOL rolling out a crystal ball on 15th January

Looking at the year ahead for RISC OS

The RISC OS User Group of London will be holding their next meeting on Monday, 15th January, and with no formal speaker for this meeting the group has set the coming year as the topic of discussion. The meeting is therefore an opportunity for members and visitors to talk about their plans and hopes, and – more realistically than hopes – expectations for RISC OS in general, and ROUGOL itself, for 2018.

It is also an ideal time to bring up any particular topics, software, or hardware that could be covered in a future meeting.

With a start time of 7:45pm, the meeting takes place at the regular venue – in the restaurant upstairs at:

The Blue-Eyed Maid,
173 Borough High Street,
London,
SE1 1HR.

There is no charge to attend the meeting, and everyone is welcome.

The Blue-Eyed Maid, which serves a range of hot and cold food  and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks,  can be found between London Bridge and Borough tube stations, making it easy to reach by public transport. It’s a five minute walk from either, through well-lit streets with CCTV coverage. There is also ample cycle parking nearby, also covered by CCTV.

Anyone coming in by car has slightly more to consider: The Congestion Charge ends at 6:00pm, long before the meeting starts, but there is also parking and London traffic to take into account. Avoid parking on double red lines at all times, and for single red or yellow lines, it’s best to wait until after 7:00pm – and if you are not familiar with central London parking or driving, you should allow extra time, patience, and maps!

Help is available, though – if you need help finding the venue, you can reach ROUGOL by email, by telephone on 07970 211 629, or via Twitter.
