Wakefield is just about upon us

So there’s no time for even a snifter of a snippet. As usual, in the run up to the annual Wakefield Show, the premier event in the land of RISC OS, announcements and updates are ten-a-penny. And, as usual, I am exhibiting at the show with my Soft Rock Software hat on. This normally means that as show day gets closer and closer, I have a lot to do – and, consequently, I haven’t had time to sift through the various announcements that have reached my inbox.

Wakefield 2012 Announced

About a month has passed since the last RISC OS Show, held in London, and everyone should by now have had a chance to recover – and begin thinking about the next show. This would normally be the South West Show, which is followed within a month or two by the Wakefield Show. Sadly, no South West Show has yet been announced – and if it doesn’t go ahead, then that will be a great shame after the success of the last one, at which the ARMini was first shown…

Wakefield 2011: The morning after

Yesterday’s RISC OS show in Wakefield, held in the show’s original venue of the Cedar Court Hotel, Calder Grove, is the 16th show organised by WROCC and one month short of being held on the fifteenth anniversary of the very first, held in the middle of May, 1996. It is also the 10th anniversary (again, offset by about a month) of my first appearance at the show – at any show – as an exhibitor.
