After some eighteen years of holding their regular meetings in the Blue-Eyed Maid, the RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) are starting the new decade in a new home.
From the first meeting of 2020, which will take place on January 20th, the group will be meeting at:
The Duke of Sussex (upstairs in the Chichester Room),
23 Baylis Road,
London,
SE1 7AY.
As with the the previous venue, the new one is very easy to reach by public transport – it’s just a couple of minutes walk from Waterloo Station, and the station offers access to both the National Rail network and the London Underground.
For drivers, there is on-street parking available from 6:30pm. Any earlier than that and you’ll need to feed a meter – but the meetings don’t start until 7:45pm, so there’s no need to arrive that early (if the traffic in London will even allow you to do so!)
The pub serves a selection of food and drinks, so attendees looking to lubricate while they listen, and chow down while they chat, can certainly do so.
And, as usual, should anybody coming to the meeting have problems finding their way, ROUGOL can be contacted by email, by telephone on 07970 211 629, or via Twitter.
That first meeting will feature RISC OS Developments Ltd‘s Richard Brown as guest speaker, updating the group on all the news from the company and, where possible, answering any questions that people may have about any of it. More details of that meeting will be announced closer to the date.
