Bristol meeting – 14th November

RISC OS users in and around the Bristol area have their next opportunity to meet up for a chat, a bite to eat, and a drink, on Wednesday, 14th November. The meeting will run from 7:00-7:30pm until closing time, at:

The Eldon House,
6 Lower Clifton Hill,
Bristol,
BS8 1BT.

The meetings are informal in nature, and are simply a way for a group of people with a common interest in RISC OS, Acorn, and anything related, to get together for a chat over a drink, and possibly a meal. That means there is never a set topic, but the latest news and recent or upcoming events can – and usually do – form a significant part of any discussion. Recent events include the London Show, and recent news that is very likely to come up on the night includes the change of hands of RISC OS, as well as the change of licence.

Additionally, some members occasionally bring their latest projects to show off to the group – and this time around, Soft Rock Software’s newest RiscPiC design will available for a closer look.

The informal nature of the meetings means there is no attendance fee, so anyone with an interest in RISC OS is welcome to come along. The Eldon House serves a selection of real ales, as well as hot food – and they are currently running a promotion on Wednesdays, offering a pie with two sides and a pint of cask ale, lager, cider or a soft drink for £10.00.

The group also has a mailing list, which anyone is welcome to join, irrespective of whether or not they can make it to the meetings.
