How to make a WROCC recording!
The next meeting of the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club will take place on Wednesday, 4th February at 7:45pm at the West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club.
The club recently began making available recordings of their meetings so that members unable to attend in person still get to see and hear what happened at the meetings, rather than just read about it, making membership from afar a little more appealing.
The subject of the February meeting will be the making of those recordings. Terry Marsh, the man who does the deed, will be talking about how he records the meetings, and from those recordings produces the videos for the club website.
The address of the West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club is:
(off Walton Lane)
(A61) Barnsley Road
Sandal
Wakefield
WF2 6ER
A map and directions can be found on the WROCC website, and there is ample free car parking on site, as well as – and some might say more importantly – a bar for refreshments.
Entrance is free to members, with an entrance fee of £3 for visiting non-members (for which they also get a printed copy of the Club newsletter). Annual membership costs £15, with new members receiving a 50% discount in their first year, making that a paltry £7.50.
Members receive a free PDF newsletter with all the latest news and articles (a printed version of which is available by post for a supplement of £7 per year), the ability to place For Sale/Wanted adverts on the website and in the newsletter, access to the Club’s own discussion forum, as well as that free entry to meetings.
