The next Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) meeting will take place a week later than usual, on 13th December – the second Wednesday of this month, rather than the customary first. The guest speaker will be Andy Marks from RISCOSbits.
The weekend just gone saw the MUG RISC OS Xmas Market take place, a small show put on as a last minute replacement for the London Show, which couldn’t take place this year. RISCOSbits exhibited at the show, with some new kit and developments, and was also punting a new discount scheme called ROADS (RISC OS Active Developers Scheme) – and it’s these things he will be talking to WROCC about at the meeting.
The meeting will take place online using Zoom and any RISC OS user is welcome to join; you don’t need to be a WROCC member to do so, and there is no ‘entry’ fee. In fact, this meeting might be particularly worth attending, because Andy is planning a quiz for the end of his talk, with a prize for the winner!
To join the meeting, you will need the Zoom software running on a suitable device – it’s available for most mainstream platforms – along with the meeting credentials, which are available from WROCC. Armed with that, simply log-in for around 7:45pm on Wednesday evening.
Although there’s no membership requirement for joining the meeting, it’s well worth supporting WROCC by signing up with them; it costs a modest £7.50 per year, and you get the group’s self-titled monthly newsletter through your letterbox network connection, and access to their online discussion forum.
