JDServer 0.05 available

Here at the top secret RISCOSitory bunker, we’re disappointed to discover that’s Jet Direct, not Jack Daniel’s!

Dave Higton has released a new version of JDServer, which allows a printer connected to a RISC OS computer to be shared between other computers on a network. It works from RISC OS, Linux and Windows, and should work with MacOS as well, although Dave is unable to provide any specific instructions. When one of the other machines sends its printing task to JDServer, it is sent to the currently selected printer. A 10-deep queue is provided, and multiple simultaneous connections are supported.

Version 0.05 corrects an error that resulted in some print operations causing JDServer to crash, and Dave recommends that all users upgrade to this version.
