With Avenger, the last of the Code the Classics volume 2 games converted to run on RISC OS, Jeroen Vermeulen has created a web-based home for them (as well as them being downloadable from )!Store – and, presumably, for any future projects he undertakes.
The new website is on itch.io, a site that is itself dedicated to indie games, allowing developers to set up their own pages, and Jeroen’s page can be found at jvsgames.itch.io, from where the games can be downloaded for free.
The downloads from the site (and !Store) contain versions that are (only slightly) updated from those originally available, but Jeroen explains that there is no need to upgrade your copies.
As with much of the web, the itch.io site (and therefore Jeroen’s page) does make use of modern technology, but it can be used with the Iris web browser from RISC OS Developments.
