As the next RISC OS event looms – the London Show, which will take place on Saturday, 24th October – the first piece of show-related news has landed in the RISCOSitory inbox: AMCOG Games will be releasing a new arcade-style game at London, to be called Ghost Hunter.
AMCOG’s Tony Bartram describes the game as “an evolution of the case study that is present in the AMCOG Development Kit” called Sparky, which he explains was always popular at computer shows.
The objective in the game will be to light up the walls, causing the ghosts and monsters to be banished, and ultimately to unlock the mansion maze with the keys you find along the way.
It is some none years after the Sparky was used to demonstrate the Development Kit, and it is now being evolved into a full game, with smooth animation and a ‘new wave’ style soundtrack.
