Another of Kevin Wells’ handy applications has seen an update. This time it’s TrainTimes, which allows you to find out what trains stop (and go) to what stations, and when, in turn providing a way to help plan your journeys from the RISC OS desktop.
Using Wget, the program sends the information you put in to the Transport API website, displaying the results it gets back.
The latest version is 1.18, in which when you click on a station in the results window you are offered a menu of destinations – the station’s web page on the National Rail website, its Wikipedia page. A third option from that menu allows you to look at a map, but only if Sine Nomine’s Nominatum has been seen by the system, otherwise it is greyed out.
If you use Kevin’s software and find it useful, you could support his efforts by buying some merchandise, or just handing him some money.
