KPDFUtil provides a front-end for PDFUtils

Kevin Wells has turned his hand from offering RISC OS front-ends to remote APIs, and put together a front-end for something the can be run locally.

His new application is called KPDFUtil and provides a way to make use of the command-line tool PDFUtils from the desktop, without having to look up (or learn) and type out commands to perform a task.

In the first release version, the application offers options to join two PDF files together, split a PDF file into separate files, one for each page, convert a PDF into a PostScript file (with a number of Postscript level options), and to convert a PDF into a text file. PDFUtils offers a number of additional functions, so Kevin says other options are planned for KPDFUtil.
