Quick, slow, quick-quick, slow!
Chris Hall has released a new application called CPUFreq, which he describes as a utility to monitor, display and alter the CPU speed settings on those hardware platforms that support switching the CPU between slow and fast speeds – such as the BeagleBoard and PandaBoard.
The CPU speed is continuously displayed on the icon bar – setting the application apart from CPUClock, which apparently displays the information in a separate window – and allows the ‘fast’ and ‘slow’ speeds to be set to any available speed between the minimum and maximum speeds allowed by the hardware.
The software can be downloaded via !Store.
