It’s now less than a week until the inaugural RISC OS North show, and that means two things. Firstly, things are hectic here in the bunker as I prepare for the show myself – and to make matters worse, I will be temporarily relocating the bunker. And let me tell you, that is not an easy task. Secondly, it means all the announcements start landing in my inbox. To save time, I’ll be posting them as received, rather than writing about them. Here’s the first in my queue, from R-Comp:
We’re pleased to announce that PhotoDesk 3.24 is now available as a free update to anyone who has upgraded to the 2022+ XAT edition via !Store.
This is possibly the biggest update to PhotoDesk since the 32-bit era, with over 80 improvements, fixes and enhancements:
The full changelog (you’ll need a big screen!) can be found by clicking the version number on the !Store entry. Be ready for a long read 🙂
Almost every area of the program has seen attention, and the vast majority of the known issues have been resolved.
Of particular note are the many fixes/improvements that stemmed from PhotoDesk’s new manual. In the process of developing the new manual, the author found many inconsistencies, oddities or unexplained phenomenon. Almost all of this have been investigated and resolved in 3.24. There have also been significant improvements to the loaders and savers (import/export) in this edition too.
If you haven’t already jumped on board the PhotoDesk train, it costs £42.00 via !Store, or £29.00 for the no-questions-asked upgrade version.
As has been customary recently, thanks go to Richard Coleman for his work on this edition.
Best wishes,
Andrew
