Come along and say hi. Notes from mummy not acceptable.
It’s the afternoon of Friday the 6th July, 2012, and this will probably be the last thing I write on RISCOSitory.com for a few days. Why? Because tomorrow is the Midlands Midsummer Mugshow, 2012, which takes place at St John’s Church Hall, 205 Warwick Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1HY, with the doors open to the public from 11am until 4pm and an entrance fee of just £4 for adults, and nothing at all for children.
This year’s exhibitors include RISC OS Open, R-Comp, CJE Micro’s, NetSurf, Orpheus Internet, Archive Magazine, Soft Rock Software, Steve Fryatt, The MathMagical Software Company, and Serious Statistical Software.
Ignoring this year’s atrocious weather, it’s summer, and one of this year’s summer treats will be Raspberry Pi, which you are almost certain to see at this year’s show, of course running RISC OS. As well as the Pi, you will also see the Armini, the BeagleBoard and the PandaBoard – and not forgetting older hardware.
There will be a charity stand, supporting Tools with a Mission, a charity that sends tools across the world. Donations can be anything from old hand tools, all the way up to working Pentium 4 or better PCs, flat screen monitors and printers.
So, if you have a free day tomorrow, come along to the show and meet and chat with developers and other users – and most of all, show your support for the RISC OS community.
