Fire at CJE Micro’s

You have probably heard already that CJE Micro’s have suffered a fire at their premises in Littlehampton. This happened late on 2nd December, so – thankfully – nobody will have been there working. However, while nobody was harmed, the fire appears to have been quite significant. I’ve reached out to Chris Evans, and he has provided a statement to put on RISCOSitory so that people are aware of the situation. he wrote:

We have had a major fire at our unit in Littlehampton Tuesday Night.

Unfortunately we have lost a significant amount of stock and are having to move to a nearby unit. We hope to be able to start processing orders next week. There are some items we will have to restock, what previous cherished items we’ve lost will take us months to go through. We expect to reopen our ebay stores next week. Items will say zero stock until we have checked availability.

Our website will take a lot longer to update, if items ordered are not available we will contact you before taking any payment.

Investigation suggest it was arson and believed to be a grudge by someone trying to get at a third party not linked to CJE/4D.

Please do start ordering again so we can continue! Thanks to those people who have sent messages of support.

Chris also provided a photo of the building showing some of the damage to the front:

So the bottom line is, while the damage means there will be a significant impact on the busiess, CJE Micro’s is still pushing on. Please support the business where you can, and try to be understanding if there are delays, or if they get in touch to say they’re unable to supply something.
