Videos from the Southwest Show now online

The RISC OS Southwest Show 2020 took place at the Arnos Manor Hotel in Bristol last week, and as usual the show talks were recorded. These are now online for the benefit of anyone who couldn’t make the show, or could but couldn’t attend the talks.

In the order they took place, they are:

  • Richard Brown talking on behalf of RISC OS Developments Ltd. Richard’s talk specifically covered the launch of RISC OS Direct – a distribution of the operating system, and an introductory video series.
  • Andrew Rawnsley talking on behalf of R-Comp and RISC OS Developments. Unfortunately, the first part of this talk is missing because I was occupied at my stand – and I suspect this largely covered RISC OS Developments (specifically the browser work) but there is still some element of this in the Q&A section.
  • Steve Revill talking on behalf of RISC OS Open Ltd, covering their stewardship of the sources to the OS, the status of the Raspberry Pi 4 work, bounties, and more.
  • Stefan Fröhling of the RISC OS Cloverleaf project, and more specifically ChatCube, an online chat application for RISC OS users.

The show was also live-streamed by Wi-Fi Sheep, and an edited down highlights video is now available to watch.

And finally, the RISC OS Direct video series is being produced by Wi-Fi Sheep on behalf of RISC OS Developments, and Episode 1 can now be watched.
