In a recent discussion on comp.sys.acorn.misc news of another RISC OS show in 2011 emerged. The day before the recent London Show, Midlands User Group member, Doug Webb, confirmed that there will be another Midlands Show, again in Kennilworth, with two likely dates being considered – the 2nd and 9th July. Later the same day, another MUG member, Stuart Winsor commented that the 9th looks most likely.
The thread in which these two possible dates were mentioned was prompted by a report in Archive magazine, issue 22:10, in which another member of the group, Ron Briscoe, revealed that there were only a very disappointing 31 visitors to the 2010 Midlands Show, which was held at St John’s Church Hall in Kennilworth. The question is: what can be done to improve numbers?
