The AMCOG Development Kit, designed to make it much easier to write games for RISC OS computers in BBC BASIC, has been updated. The new version is available to download from !Store by existing customers. Version 1.08 brings with it an extended library, including procedures from AMCOG’s Island of the Undead and Stunt Drivers games, the addition of three new example programs, the latest version of RDSP, and more.

Tony Bartram talks 3D graphics and sound in London – 21st January
The RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) will hold its next meeting on Monday, 21st January, with Tony Bartram of AMCOG Games as the guest speaker, with 3D graphics and sound being the subject matter.
AMCOG’s Stunt Drivers now available
AMCOG Games launched a new title at the London Show two weeks ago, and it is now available to purchase via !Store, priced at just £9.99. A top-down racing game, Stunt Drivers pits you as a driver in a three-lap race against a number of computer controlled cars around a track on which there are obstacles to overcome – hazards such as oil spills, and ramps for you to use to jump over other objects.

Better late than never, but not as late as last year – so that’s something, right? This year’s Southwest Show took place on Saturday, 24th February, at the Webbington Hotel and Spa – the same venue at which it has been held every year since its inception. Undead to invade Wakefield on June 6th

RISC OS Awards 2017 results
The latest RISC OS Awards poll, covering 2017, came to a close a on Saturday, 26th May – and the results are now known. The Awards website has been updated to show the results, and the winners (for whom I have contact details) will be notified by email later today, with direct links to the results so that they can be referred to on the their own websites.
