ARMX6 bundles launching at London 2015

Announcement from Andrew Rawnsley, 22nd October, 2015. Following on from the announcements about the ARMX6’s enhanced, class leading graphical capabilities this summer, we had several requests for “complete system” bundles from customers. As such, we’re pleased to announce several bundle options at key price points for potential ARMX6 customers. Anyone who has already paid a deposit can choose one of these bundles too, so don’t worry 🙂

ARMX6 display and networking capabilities improved

R-Comp Interactive’s already great ARMSX ARMX6 computer has just got better, thanks to an operating system update just released by the company. The headline feature of the update is support for ultra-high definition monitors. UHD monitors provide a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels – sometimes (arguably incorrectly) referred to as 4K or UHD 4K – giving twice the horizontal and vertical resolutions of high definition (1920×1080) displays, and thus offering four times the overall number of pixels and, therefore, four times the amount of desktop real estate.

SprEdit by Richard Swetman reviewed

Does anyone remember the excellent bitmap editing program ProArtisan 24 from Clares? Richard Swetman has written a simple bitmap editor program called SprEdit which performs some impressive sprite operations. The application can be installed via Packman, or directly from Richard Swetman’s website, where Richard has also provided some useful 256 colour test sprites – scroll down to section (m) under the Graphics heading.

PiTools updated to version 1.13

Released barely a week ago as a general spin off the software supplied with the 4t̩ computer, intended for use by other people running RISC OS on the Raspberry Pi, an update to PiTools has been pushed out by R-Comp Interactive. The product, which began life as 4t̩Tools on its namesake computer Рitself based around the Raspberry Pi 4 Рprovides additional tools and configuration facilities to the computer in addition to those included in RISC OS itself.
