ARMX6 OS Update 4 and Super Pack 4 released, plus updated Aemulor
Announcement from Andrew Rawnsley, 20th October, 2015. R-Comp Interactive is pleased to announce the release of two major (free) updates for ARMX6 users. These updates are available to download now, and will be included on all new ARMX6 machines as standard.
ARMX6 display and networking capabilities improved
R-Comp Interactive’s already great ARMSX ARMX6 computer has just got better, thanks to an operating system update just released by the company. The headline feature of the update is support for ultra-high definition monitors. UHD monitors provide a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels – sometimes (arguably incorrectly) referred to as 4K or UHD 4K – giving twice the horizontal and vertical resolutions of high definition (1920×1080) displays, and thus offering four times the overall number of pixels and, therefore, four times the amount of desktop real estate.
ARMX6 in high demand, plan ahead for Wakefield, Big Ben eXperience
R-Comp reports that demand for the ARMSX ARMX6 computers remains high, with there still being a backlog of orders to fulfill – something which, while it’s unfortunate for those who are still waiting, is surely a good sign, as well as being something for which R-Comp’s Andrew Rawnsley says they are very grateful.

Does anyone remember the excellent bitmap editing program ProArtisan 24 from Clares? Richard Swetman has written a simple bitmap editor program called SprEdit which performs some impressive sprite operations. The application can be installed via Packman, or directly from Richard Swetman’s website, where Richard has also provided some useful 256 colour test sprites – scroll down to section (m) under the Graphics heading.
